Ebay Question..
Is it just me , but......
Why do people bid a stupidly low amount for a car or bike when it's clearly going to go for quite a bit OR the owner has stated the reserve price in the listing (example £3200) but some people will bid up to £400 and leave it there! I was watching a 'car' listing and it was going to go for around £12000 but someone made several bids up to £2000 and that was it.. Why?!   |
Re: Ebay Question..
Wishful thinking i guess :)

Re: Ebay Question..
It's because if the seller doesn't set a reserve (even if they say one in the text) and the auction ends then by the same token as the buyer it's legally binding, admittedly he'll probably back out, but he shouldn't, sellers do this as EBay charge more if you set a reserve.

Re: Ebay Question..
I bought a BMW735i with fsh this way for £480 and a set of Cavalier roof bars for 99p.
Keep pushing your luck and occasionally you'll come up trumps |
Re: Ebay Question..
I have also bought some bargain stuff this way.My SV has a set of progressive fork springs in it as a result of a 99p bid.:D
I have also been offered a deal after an item failed to sell at its reserve after I had put in a very low bid. |
Re: Ebay Question..
I meant items where there is a reserve, and the owner has said what the reserve is but some still bid way under it ?
I'm watching a bike at the mo, it clearly says the reserve price yet there are several bids up about half the reserve price..?? Thats the bit I don't understand! |
Re: Ebay Question..
if it dont sell the seller may offer it to the highest bidder?
