What's legal regarding riding bike to MOT test centre?

Is it legal to ride to and from an MOT test centre without Tax, MOT and insurance? I doubt the insurance but what do you lot reckon?

Incidently I done a search on MOT and oil and found nothing?!?

Insurance you need, but as long as you can prove you have it booked in if you get stopped, you don't need the other two.

Thats why you have to give your registration number to the MOT centre when you make a booking.

Not realy, a name will suffice at my place. As long as you have a way to prove you are taking to that MOT station you are ok, if thats name / reg / bike model it will usually be ok.

Also you have to take a direct route & reasonable distance. ie. if you live in Devon and book an MOT in London, you are taking the mic really, so you may be done on that.

I just watched Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom last night, so I just really wanted to say, in the words of Wille Scott:
