SV650 aftermarket screen
Howdy folks,
Am wondering if there are any aftermarket screens that will make the bike a little more user friendly on the motorway. Have seen the Targa fairing thing but was thinking of something less bodykit based ... Anyone any ideas? (it's a 1999 model by the way). Cheers D |
Re: SV650 aftermarket screen
This would be a naked I take it?
If so just about any of the single round 7" fitting screens will do, I had a very small fly screen thing fitted to my CB750 in smoked, worked very well, in fact made all the difference on the run to assen a couple of times. http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/7523/cb750f2tj6.jpg Cheers Mark. |
Re: SV650 aftermarket screen
One of the guys in our rideout club has got a screen for his naked bandit which is the b*x!. It's a givi with a flip up. He swears by it.
I've got a small givi which gices no protection unless you are right down on the tank. |
Re: SV650 aftermarket screen
i use the givi or the cheaper hong kong givi copy availble sometimes on ebay

Re: SV650 aftermarket screen
There's a blue Givi one on ebay at this very moment, looks great IMO. I've got a Puig touring screen on my naked K5, doesn't make much difference to wind blast I'm afraid.

Re: SV650 aftermarket screen
Cheers for all the usefull information folks - really good of you all to get back to me ... Having weighed up all your information I've ordered a mid sized Givi from Busters which should, hopefully, turn up some time next week.
Thanks all again! D |
Re: SV650 aftermarket screen
Guys, I'm in the market for one of these Givis, just can't decide the size. Since I don't intent to keep it on the bike (K6) all the time I was thinking of buying a big one (A 660) and just mount it on twice a year when I go for a longer trip. But if a mid size one works well enough... there's just no one to ask about it!

Re: SV650 aftermarket screen
Well I've ordered the A210 for my friends bike, we're driving from London up to Wales for the Easter weekend. If you can wait that long I'll let you know how it goes! ... Thought about the 660 but as she's quite 'look conscious' I compromised with the 210 in the end!
