VW golf rear indicator visibility

Does anybody else find the latest Golf indicators difficult to see ? They're a small orange circle in the centre of a circle of red lights, they're just not visible enough. Indicators are meant to be attention grabbing, surely there's some international standard controlling this ?

Same problem with front indicators on mark 4s, they are in between the high and low beam units. Rear indicators of Range Rovers circle around the tail lights, front indicators on BMW MINI within small side light unit, etc. etc. etc.

Yes, I would like my car to look good but I'd also like people to be able to see when i'm indicating. The two need not be mutually exclusive....

I've noticed this aswell, nearly went into the back of a Golf the other night. The owners must notice people braking very late behind them?

Me too Nick, this is pretty important isn't it, I wonder if anybody has been in an accident because of it, and if it got to court would VW be liable ?

I would say it's getting worse on most vehicles on the road especially on a sunny day. Form over function and wotnot.
I'm sure one or two accidents can be attributed to these fanciful lights. I've had to do look twice a sometimes myself and I'm someone that doesn't miss much......yeah I'm good :p ;)

No because it's not even a requirement to signal.

Yes car's that have their indicators too close to the brakes lights are hard to see the indicators - so just expect them to make an unexected turn, especially if they are braking.

If South East London is anything to go by didnt think VW or Volvo drivers knew they actually had indicators anyway
