world cup cricket
England have done so well:salut:
They should do community service for crimes against sport. Australia have been brilliant and would make great champs. |
Re: world cup cricket
It was a pathetic display, they should all be puplicly humiliated after this tournament

Re: world cup cricket
One Day Internationals? Pah! Slogging the ball around in pyjamas? Not even cricket!
Now, man in white bowls to another man in white, ball fielded by a man in white, having a break for tea, taking 5 days over it, scores different but call it a draw? That's cricket! |
Re: world cup cricket
couple of points...
yesterday - pathetic awefull shocking display. give back the MBE's half the team got a couple of years back....and i believe we nneed to change the team around. mahmood has to go, for the time being. i believe he has the ablilty but need to control the ball. a year or two touring with the A team ought to help. vaughan is the best captain we have, but need to be played down the order. strauss to open with bell, pietersen 3rd, collingwood, flintoff then vaughan. however..... our ICC one day ranking is 7th. its likely we'll finish 5th, at worst 6th. so you could argue we've played above our ranking.....are our expectations too high? anyway. cheltenham 2.55 - Liverpool Echo. back it each way, you heard it here first |
Re: world cup cricket
South Africa V Australia should be the greatest slogathon of all time.
Their last match was a corker and this one is for real. Englands first 10 overs were dire and didn't get better. The run rate was Boycottesque and simply not required. How Saj Mahmood played equalled the Marie Celeste as one of the worlds great mysteries. Vaughan isnt a slogger and doesn't suit this type of cricket. KP and Flintoff should bat first and told to smash it out the ground like Hulk Hayden. Although Flintoff hasn't played that well....but given a free hand... |
Re: world cup cricket
Love playing the game, hate watching the game (at the moment). Freddie should never have been given the captaincy, effected his game too much. Much better if Strauss was retained and Vaughan withdrew from one days altogether.
