Pointy Speedos (Difficulty reading)

The top line.
Since I smacked my front end yesterday, I can't see the top line of my speedo, so I can't tell if I'm doing 31 or 37, unless I really duck down.
I can't remember it being a problem before, but I can't see how it has moved in it's housing as there is not a big gap below the bottom line of time & temp.

Do they all do that sir?

Nope. Mine has a slight blue haze around the outside, but I can clearly see the numbers.

Maybe the LCD took a knock & some of the crystals aren't working as they're supposed to? Not exactly unusual for an LCD panel.

Claim it on the insurance anyhow, regardless of what's wrong with it ;)

Digital number speedos suck. Give me a dial! Much more useful than a blur of constanty changing numbers....

Sorry - that wasn't much help.... soap box anyone?

So does no one else suffer from a "hooded" screen that they can't see the top of?

Mine is fine, perfectly readable, and shows how fast I am going as well.

I would have said that the bracket holding it in place is bent if it is now pointing downwards for you unable to see the numbers properly... also the LCD may have taken a knock... i would have got the bike checked out properly before riding it TBH. You never know what is wrong with it until something happens. Besides since when have you seen 30mph??? :p If its speed cameras and cops then just slow until you get into the 20's :)

if the brackets not bent you'll find the speedo mounted on rubber grommets to absorb vibes, the grommets may have come away from the front subframe causing it to sit funny.
