so who moved Boxhill....
I thought I would tell my sorry tale before anyone else beat me to it ...
So meeting at Boxhill.. fine not a problem i think.. I pull up on the AA routefinder thingy Boxhill. Sorted. Set out this morning and follow said directions perfectly.. to the letter.. infact almost proudly ... only when I turned into a street named Boxhill did I realise not only did I not recognise this place but, there were clearly no other bikers around!!! :smt088 so after a quick phone call later and, much laughter was told that I was in North London and perhaps I wanted to get back on the M25! I will say I think it completly unfair that routefinder should lie in this manner. :smt093 Furthermore I would also like to add that this does not mean I cant navigate as I clearly got myself to Hamel Hempstead, Boxhill fine using directions. They were just the wrong directions!! |

Re: so who moved Boxhill....
Oh dear! This is why I prefer looking at proper maps to GPS and routemaps - at least you know which direction you're supposed to be travelling in!
(never mind sweetie, will console you with roast chicken) |
Re: so who moved Boxhill....
You must have navigated that insane roundabout to get to that Boxhill.:D
Another vote for maps here, not only cos I prefere to know where I am,but I don't have a satnav and would struggle to operate it anyway. |
Re: so who moved Boxhill....
:) I wondered if you are the first. Somehow I doubt it. I like google maps myself - easy to zoom out to see if the route is heading in the right direction on the map.
