Hello,

Just picked up my first bike on Friday, took it for it's MOT but it failed :smt088 fifty pence front wheel.

A big thanks to GSXR Carlos who sorted me out with a new(ish) one all being well should be rolling by the weekend :D

Is there any SVers in the Hoghton area?

Is there any gentle roads for a novice like me to practice on???

I'm not too familiar on all the places up this way.....so was Hoghton a spelling mistake and you're actually based in Houghton, as in Houghton-le-Spring?

If so then I'm only 10 minutes away in Durham and can show you a few gentle roads in the area sometime - and then there's plenty of more challenging roads once you feel up to it :-)

Houghton as in Houghton Tower and arise Sir Loin etc. Home of the Houghton sprint.

Just down the road in Clayton le Woods, plenty of local twisties if you just get out and find them

Oi you lot on the wrong side of the hill, you keep theiving bits of Lancashire and now you want our village names as well. If it was Houghton le Spring. He would have said so. He said Houghton which is definately a Lancashire village.

Or seeing as he said 'Hoghton' maybe neither of us is right? Then again.....maybe you lot over Lancs way are allowed to drop as many letters from the name as you fancy, all adds to the local dialect eh? :D

Whichever Hgtn you're from, I'm sure someone won't be too far away and will show you the local twisties.

Can you please fix it for my buddy Richie without the numbers to be a real soldier.

As he has so far managed to dodge every bit of proper soldiering done by the British army in the last 10 years by going on driving courses, isn't it time the fun of Afghanistan was spread evenly.
