nowmy bike wont start
 

done my undertray etc.. done saddle shutters.


now theres just nothing!

wont start.

kill switch is on.

I have no clutch switch .. been removed.

battery seems Ok but its now on charge

immobiliser is connected to battery I have a datatool 3 alarm.

alarm just keeps going off on its own. even with the battery out..

does it have its own power source? I have never understood that

both key fobs wont activate or deactivate the alarm ..


is it simply batttery is low cos I have hd the indis on and off whilst messing about?..

any ideas. gonna be too late for me to check soon.. if the alarm is kickin off all the time..

All the lights on the dash are on !... and alarm belts out- just wont work- dead as a dodo . ??????????????????????????????????????????

i would start at battery then, have you check'd all fuses?

main fuse - sommat's prob shorted and blown it

Did you not have to touch the alarm system whilst changing the undertray? Maybe the immobiliser is kicking in? Think the Datatool has a chargeable power source otherwise it would be quite easy to isolate it from the battery and thus render it useless. However, I too am electrically dumb.

Youve prolly shorted the indys and as they are connected with the alarm then its possable the alarm fuse is gone.

Quiff, I had the same problem with my SV, couldnt work out what it was checked all the fuses under the seat all fine. I could dearm the bike and then the alarm would set and I then start going off. I had ignition, lights and everything else, but when I tried to start the bike it wouldnt do anything.

As Thor says, check your main fuse, its in the green box thingy down on the RHS of the bike by the fuel tank. Then check your rear wiring loom, I expect you've dislodged something and caused a short.

Oh and most alarms have a battery back up in them so thats why your alarm is going off.

I just looked at all the ones in the black box above the battery .

the datatool alarm wont even do the alarm on and off. all lights are on indis work and everything
