How not to polish your helmet! Dial up beware.

With gravel

So, 8.30 this morning, WRC63 and Richie no-numbers are stood with a brew in the kitchen, looking out on a dry riding day.

Nothing hard to do, just got to nip down to Darlington, about 25 miles or so, return Mr. No-numbers' new lid for a refund because it's the wrong size, and find him a replacement. All should be done and dusted by 9.30, then a blast around to try the new lid, and back home for tea and medals.

So, lid for return is boxed up, strapped to the back of WRC63's bike (because it has a bigger, flatter pillion pad) and off we go.

Nice dual carriageway downhill, open her up to 110 (kph). What's that red and white thing in the mirrors.

Oh, hell... Never mind, the box will protect the contents. Won't it?

To Be Continued...

So, that was the story of what has become possibly the world's most expensive hanging basket.

It will look nice in my garden.

On a positive note, I did manage to make it at least 18 miles or so with Richie's old Shark on the back of the bike - with no damage at all. :D

For a cheap run of the mill helmet I thought it stood up to the WRC63 test quite well, so at 70mph or so, this helmet get a thumbs up from me:rolleyes:
