would you ride on them?

my tyres have had about 3 'incidents' with the number plate - suspension bottoming out at speed - number plate rams in to the tyre. Now i've ridden on them for another 1000 miles but the cuts in the tyres are huge! (i'm pretty sure i can see material under the rubber #-o). Considering they're stock tyres with 5000 miles on them - worth keeping? or just waiting for a blowout?

merci :p

Bah, if they're the original Dunlop's I'd bin them and get something that will let you enjoy the bike (even) more. Large cuts, with possible carcass showing underneath doesn't sound good, and is probably illegal anyway. Also, smaller numberplate perhaps? Or check your suspension.

well they're squared off too. Got my feet scraping the other week so can't wait to try new tyres! got the rear up to 5 clicks now - the (****ty route 9 - i can't express that enough) tailtidy holds the plate right over the tyre- even with a 7x5. Tempted by these road pilots - may get some this week. cheers :)

oh - any idea how to get on to the 6th click?! i'm sure its not possible :P

It IS possible - had mine up that far, but the toolkit holder does get in the way.

The secret it to get an experienced spanned monkey to do it for you, like Jambo - who I am sure will be along in a moment to give tips :)

Use the stupid little tool that Suzuki give you, but add on the bar from the toolkit that's round at one end and oval at the other. It'll give you more leverage and should enable you to get that final click
