How blonde is my wife - one up on leaving disk lock on

Picture petite blonde on GSX750, a big bike for such a small girl, but low seat height so not too bad as long as the weight dont get too far over.

Today she pulls away from her usual parking space in central London and feels the bike struggling so she gives a little more gas, then she feels the bike toppling to the left with no way of stopping it, so over it goes.

She had managed to pull away with the bike still chained to the lamp post via the grab rail which puts the chain in impossible-to-miss view

:smt041:smt041:smt041:smt041:smt041

The lamp post swayed with the force, as her colleagues looked out the window not knowing whether to laugh or worry!

No damage to her, am just about to go look at the bike!

Women better riders than men - pah!

Sorry- can't think of any chain or post puns.

Bet she won't do that again!

On short people on bikes, I saw a girl on a VFR400 the other week who's feet barely touched the ground on even that tiny bike. Seriously- I bet it was an adrenaline rush every time she stopped. Makes you wonder though...

Stick a GSXR1100 motor in it, that way if she does it again she'll pull the llamppost down instead.

Yep, friend of mine did something similar with his spanking new Blade, left the disc lock on and tried to scream away from the house. Crunch. Pinned his hand under the bar with the throttle wide open too, just to make sure he had a reasonably sized audience... ;)

I'll be honest and admit that I've left it on twice in total, however at a maximum of 0.5mph as it's very obvious that the moment your bike stops moving when you're sat on it hobbling backwards, that you've left it on! ;)

I use one of those fluorescent keychain things that attach to disklock + handlebar for this very reason! only cost £2 but it's saved me a few times since I've got it. I've got on and would have gone to pull away except i noticed it on the handlebar. It really works!
