Rear suspension maintenence advice

Hello all.

My bikes an 02 naked with about 13k, as part of getting it ready for the road I want to take the rear swingarm linkages in bits for a good clean up and re-greasing.
Whats the best way to prop the bike up while doing this?
Was considering a trolley jack under the engine but this feels like its going to tip over.

What do you guys use?

Cheers
Chris

I'm looking for the more 'redneck' approach as the budgets a bit tight for £100 on a stand!

May end up using a few 4x2s and the jack...

2 high stools and a 2x4 under the rear subframe is good, very stable. Or you can hang it from a big ladder or garage roof. No matter how you do it, if you're not using a solid stand like the NWS or ABBA, loosen the bolts first! They're very stiff, and you wouldn't be the first person to lever your bike off an improvised stand.

i am just about to rip the entire **** end off my 2001. found a centre stand at wemoto for it. won't be keeping it there after its facelift but my bloke insists it'll be a useful tool for all sorts of maintenance stuff.
