The Apprentice last night
Watching it, I was hopping mad.
That snobby cow Katie - and then Christina - and all the others, they're all guilty - ganged up on that working class lad, Adam. I thought he was effective and how the hell he put up with them sniping and generally being odious and disgusting snobs I just don't know. Katie said that he should go back up north to his northern friends cos that's where he belongs. I thought she was a stuck up b1tch with no grip on what happens in the real world. She's a 'global marketing consultant' - I wouldn't consult her on how to market a bag of gravel. But the way they treated Adam - just disgraceful. |
Re: The Apprentice last night
i agree re katie and the way he was treated (especially last week when he survived the boardroom and nobody applauded him when he returned), altho i dont think adam was particularly good, he was just ok.
the follow up show on BBC2 showed how much general public dislike katie. |
Re: The Apprentice last night
I don't watch it mate... I watched the first one and thought 'What a bunch of Muppets...'
Then again, Big Brother start again soon :smt073 |
Re: The Apprentice last night
Don't watch it myself as it would just wind me up as well.
What is the point of something like this? Is it not just a vehicle for Alan Sugars ego? |

Re: The Apprentice last night
Unfortunately in business this kind of stuff happens, learn to deal with it.
He knew it was going on, if he was any cop he would have tried to work with Katie on that last task and managed what she was doing better rather than letting her go off with Christina so he could be ganged up on. Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer. I'd have told her to get her butt down and get those seeds, he's not strong enough, he needs to grow a spine if he's going to function at that kind of level. Trouble is now, its been on TV to much and the people in it, know what to do and how they are going to be perceived so its not real anymore, its just playing up for the camera. |
Re: The Apprentice last night
I don't really think Adam was a strong player at all! He is too quiet and always stands back. You will certainly NOT get a job with Allan Sugar with that tactic :)
Also he should have gone for the seeds FIRST and not last! Have they never heard of Google and internet? Bunch of useless people he and the girl he was with. Now Cristina is a snake :):) And it was a very unprof low blow last week when they said in the boardroom about Kate and the other bloke. He got what he deserves I think! I'm working class as well plus foreigner so have unfortunately to prove myself twice ( I have found ) so let's not discriminate because he is from up north etc etc |
Re: The Apprentice last night
Yeah I took a liking to Adam as I think he genuinely shows a lot more potential than most of the other candidates; what the hell have Gazelle, or however you spell it, Lohit, same problem again, and Jadine been doing for the last 3 weeks, they are such wastes of space they aren't even given any screen time.
He did shoot himself in the foot though, partly through getting caught lying on the Stansted importer thing but also because he should've been quick enough and mature enough to pick up on the criticisms laid at his feet in the previous three weeks and made a concerted effort to be a bit more upbeat; less dour, more dynamic. So he didn't help himself but then again.....Katie What to say, other than she cannot last much longer. I don't think Sugar liked the childish bitching that she showed, the prejudice (of most of the rest of them as well) towards Adam was ridiculous. And I was watching it with my girlfriend who couldn't understand why the hell a grown woman was acting like a petulant kid...all the hair tossing, the coy smiles etc etc. I would disagree with the comments about Christine though. yes she could be playing a wily game but so far she has shown herself to be nothing other than professional. She doesn't bitch, but is not afraid to argue clearly and effectively when necessary; she doesn't take sides, as you could see by the way she quite rightly commented in the house on Katie's 'Mr Pinot and Mr Grigio' comment, saying that if true then it certainly didn't affect Adam's performance. Trey, Christine and Adam are/were the best that I can see so far, with a lot of non-entities making up the rest of the pack. Shame about the pretty underwhelming cop-out of a premise for the episode though. |
