Hi you can use a pointy clock but it will not give all functions you will loose the engine temperature as this comes from the ECU and its very unlikley that it will plug straight in Suzuki would have changed the pins out for sure.

See HERE.

And your welcome.

The dash lights will stay on regardless of light switch position. The temperature will always say check. Oh and the tacho bounces around and does not read true. All other functions work fine. The only other thing is the fact that K3 clocks only have one warning for low fuel so you have to choose if you want the lower or the higher level wired to the clocks from the bike.

No I don't think so. According to your diagram pin 9 is back lights. In my description I have called it ignition live, same as pin 2. Same colour code. In any case I have pin 9 wired to pin 9 wire from the bike which is grey, which is back lights. So it's wired the same as your description yet the lights stay permanently on.

I believe this is because on the new shape SV's there is no light switch. As soon as ignition is switched on then so are the lights, including the back lights in the clock. NO :?:

See now I am going to have to rip the loom apart, brake all the soldered wires and start messing again to find out why the back lights don't go out. See what you've started.

Or I might just think sod it, it can stay like it now.
