Aha! My 1971 BSA B25 is geared *17* front, 47 rear, but I suspect it's not going to pull wheelies. Or pull... 8-(

well thats the type of riding i normally do, to and from work, and blasting around town, so i thought it would be a good idea. i will wait until some better weather until i try a longer journey.

Does anyone know if the curvy rear sprockets have the same fixing holes as the pointys?

How big are the original sprockets?

And is it hard to change? Was thinking of riding with 2 setups, if its easy and quick to change..?

I find the standard gearing to be very short anyway, 6th is certainly not in need to shortening any further and 1st is used for all but a second or two if you're going for it, 2nd is plenty short enough for the slowest of corners and you can easily get the front up too. In summary then: not a mod I am considering :)

A pointy is, 15 teeth front and 44 teeth rear.

I'm not certain, but I think the curvy has 45 rear teeth as standard.

My mate's got a B25/T25 lump stripped down at the min - I was surprised at how extreme the top end was - can't see how the valves could be any bigger and there's huge cut-outs on the pistons to clear then. He reckons they're grenades though - starting one up = pulling the pin...
