Aha! My 1971 BSA B25 is geared *17* front, 47 rear, but I suspect it's not going to pull wheelies. Or pull... 8-(

14 and 47 is perfect for town lol not too good for long trips....

Re: 14 tooth front, 47 tooth rear very quick!
well thats the type of riding i normally do, to and from work, and blasting around town, so i thought it would be a good idea. i will wait until some better weather until i try a longer journey.

Re: 14 tooth front, 47 tooth rear very quick!
Does anyone know if the curvy rear sprockets have the same fixing holes as the pointys?
|
Re: 14 tooth front, 47 tooth rear very quick!
How big are the original sprockets?
And is it hard to change? Was thinking of riding with 2 setups, if its easy and quick to change..? |
Re: 14 tooth front, 47 tooth rear very quick!
I find the standard gearing to be very short anyway, 6th is certainly not in need to shortening any further and 1st is used for all but a second or two if you're going for it, 2nd is plenty short enough for the slowest of corners and you can easily get the front up too. In summary then: not a mod I am considering :)

I'm not certain, but I think the curvy has 45 rear teeth as standard. |
