Welcome. :D
In answer to your question, go for the SV over the GSXR (well this is the SV650.org when all said and done ;) ) |
Re: Newb :)

'sup Big B
So jumping from a RS50 to a Gixxer?? Why those bikes. What are YOUR reasons for and against. Personaly, having rideen both bikes, the SV would suit. They are cheap as chips secondahnd and plentiful in numbers, Theres also a lot of spares around. A more than capable bike in the right hands. Yes it has its faults, and everyone will come and tell you so. Ive had my SV 7 years now, its still my only bike, its over 50k and still brings a smile to my face. Its fast enough to get you into trouble, but forgiving enough to get you out. Its a great bike. Gixxers are for girls, and men with small willies! Some people even sell thier Gixxers and buy Hornets, but they are wierd and we'll just ignore them (The hornet is a great bike as well) Oh, and theres a small matter of insurance. The gixxer is about 4 groups higher than an SV, and thats a lot of money. If youa re still restricted, then both bikes will be as quick as each other to be honest so its a no brainer. Get an SV :D HTH :) |
