Sooooo glad I was in my car, not on my bike
So here I am after just returning home after an evening spin on my bike, just drove back from parents (where bike is stored) and I'm approaching Edinburgh on the east side. Theres road works there and 2 lanes with cones in between so I am sittinin the right hand lane in my BSM car (I'm a driving instructor) and this car comes racing up behind me on the left lane and undertakes a car in the right lane. Going far too fast and I thought I was going to get rear ended. The driver slams on the brakes and veers left where the queue is shorter overshooting the rear of my car by about 1 metre.
I **** myself So the driver reverses back and him and his mates (all very young) in the car are laughing away thinking this is hilarious. reckon they were racing the other car behind them as they both headed the same direction afterwards close. I was pretty shaken up and just thought if I had been on my bike I would have been even more ******* scared! Just had visions of me getting off my bike and kicking **** out of the driver (all in my mind of course!) Just makes me realise about my job and whether I really make a difference to the people I teach. Some folk are just beyond help, well the nice friendly help, maybe not the hurtin kind. |
