Re: zx10 shock
Hey there weazelz,
don't want to gazump him, but if skapegoat isn't interested in the shock is it still going begging? Could you tell me any more about it, how many miles had it covered if you know? What price would you want for it? pm me. I'm stinking of the zx10r shock conversion for my '01 curvy with some WP Proline progressive fork springs at the front. cheers! |
Re: zx10 shock
I bought a secondhand low milage OEM shock yesterday for £10. Me, happy, yup.

Re: zx10 shock
Are any of you guys having clearance issues between the bottom shock mounting bolt and dogbone? I've got a GSX-R1000 10x55 flanged nut and bolt. I haven't torqued everything down yet but it sure looks as though there's no clearance if you shove the dogbone assembly towards the bolt which I assume will happen while riding with as much free play's in the system.
Is anyone spacing the dogbone out to get some clearance or is that a bad idea? If it's OK to do, what did you use? |
Re: zx10 shock
If you go to a Kwak dealer, there are two bolts available, both the same length! It costs about £1.40

One thing I don't like about the GSXR bolt, which may be different on the Kawasaki part, is that the shank isn't long enough to go thru both mount holes so that one side rests on threads. I considered tapping threads into the other side of the mount like on the stock shock but the guys at the shop said I'd be fine just loping off the excess. Hope I don't wind up on my ass! ;) |
