Knee down?

Am i too chubby or too tall for the SV to get my knee down, or am i just a pu55y? I have watched the various videos online and read the various reports. I just seem to find it difficult. Has anyone had the problem before with being a bit too tall (even though i thought maybe this would be better).

Cheers

Stu

Its all about technique and body position. Your height or body shape has nothing to do with it, if you can't do it then your body position isnt right or you're just not hanging off enough.

I'm 6ft and I can't do it on either of my bikes....

Find a quiet roundabout and practice and then practice some more.

Never done it on the road, but have done so plenty on track. Get yourself out on a track day and your knee will soon be kissing the tarmac all by itself.

It will feel like this at first. However, when you're getting your knee down, the bike is actually more upright than you think.

Knne down is about hanging off the bike, not getting the bike leant over (unless you're racing).

I don't really bother moving around on the bike much, unless it's wet out etc & I don't want to lean the bike over much. Usually I ride bolt upright, and I tend not to hang about.

I prefer concentrating on lines etc, and even though I still feel damn close to the edge of the tyre, my current "strips" are about 1cm wide.

Nice to say you've done it I reckon, but not all that useful, except as I said above, for the times you want to ride quick but don't want to lean the bike over too much.

I get my knee down no probs on the SV and still have a 1mm chicken strip on the front. Use all of the back though for some reason! It is body position, once I got that right I had no probs, took a year of trying though! lol

Keep practicing!
