Re: a weekend away
I think it's just suspension that usually needs adjusting. Just remember to increase your braking distance if you plan on adding a bit of weight to the bike.

Re: a weekend away
never thought about braking thanks for that been consentrating on getting the equal weight on both sides and remembering i would be wider and more surfaces for wind to catch

Re: a weekend away
Afte riding for a bit, espicialy at A road sppeds, you'll pretty much forget its all on there. Its only when you get into a filtering situation that you wanna remember youre a wider load than usual and more unstable at slow speeds.
Keep the panier on the can side a good distance away, it'll sag a bit more after riding a while. If you smell a funny burning/melting smell pull over and check that first. Strap everything down adequately, not overly tight but tight enough. More importantly enjoy your first weekend away on the bike :D |

Off to Farmyard are we:D If it's just you and no pillion then don't change anything the bike will be fine! Just make sure everthing is well strapped on.

Re: a weekend away
deffo think about the suspension. I'm 8 stone and sensibly put my heavy duty chain in the tailpack, but forgot to crank the shock. Nearly lost the bike into a field on the first big sweeper as the front end went light.
