Re: alpinestar e-5
oh shiiiiii.. completely forgot about this :P
Well have been using it for just over a month now and i have to say i am very impressed my last jacket was the Heine gericke psxr blouson which i owned for just about 2 years. The alpinestars jacket seems alot better on the water proofing side of things and also seems to come with better armour. The pockets seem alot more waterproof too as on my old jacket if i had anything in there and it decided to rain then whatever was in there was fudged and i have not had that problem yet! id say the psxr jacket was more comfortable to wear but this jackets still very comfortable imo, also seems to be better at keeping the windblast away (air going up the sleeves etc) Lastly it doesnt seem anywhere near as hot compared to my psxr jacket when walking about in the sun but still keeps you warm in cold weather as it should Overall id recommend this jacket to anyone tbh its of very high quality and seems to do the job very well! only major gripe is that the back protectors held in by a velcro compartment instead of a zip compartment so you do have to check that its done up. Any questions and i'll be happy to answer them the best i can! |

Does anyone know how this compares to the T dyno?
So far i can work out that the E5 is goretex - more weather oriantated and the T dyno is more summer / cool related my situation is i work on a building site so have to get on a bus fully geared and walk a few hundred meters, need something lighter than my leather jacket. waterproof is a bounus as is being brathable / cool (that bus gets packed) any ideas? |
