Probably the most stupid thing i have done regarding the bike

So Saturday morning i get up late and am in a hurry to get to my bro's as a bunch were meeting for a ride. Straight down the A1M for half hour and i was there. Came to a stop and the floor feels a bit slippery so look down.......right leg of Draggin Jeans soaked in oil from knee down and it was dripping off my boot. Get off the bike and all the right side is covered in oil and 3rd of the tyre diameter too.
In my rush i did not notice i had left the oil cover off the bike the day before...... I was very lucky i didnt come off i would say. Bros mates cleaned bike up while i washed and changed and wifey drove down with the filler cap.
As my rear was needing replacing at 7k miles it was time to try something different so called around and found some Diablos with my name on em.
I can not believe the transformation! Went out this morning to run em in on the twisties and it feels like another bike. I know a lot have said the stock tires left a lot to be desired but they are all i have ever known and i did not expect myself feeling so much more confident on the bends or the faster turn in rate. Not sure if i am imagining it but when i leaned round some bends and there was road kill right in my path a few times i felt i had a lot more control in getting round rather than going over.
To bad the tyre fitter took about a sq cm of paint off somehow from the black swingarm but it has been covered by a small sticker and would definatly had bothered me more if the bike was new.

Ah well worse things happen at sea. If you'd come off coz of the oil the flaky paint really wouldn't be a worry.

The difference is probably far more to do with the fact the old ones were 7000 miles, rather tan the fact they are a different make.
New tyres on the bike makes it feel amazing usually :smt040

the paint, prolly because the pointies have a crud chain adjuster that somtimes spins arround and takes paint of the swingarm, it could also be somthing else.

I hope you remembered to top up the oil after losing half of it.:(

Probably but knowing you have a stickier tire gives the confidence to push that bit more....well thats in my case anyway
