Not bad at all mate. Decent plugs and oil/filter would set you back about £40 to £50 anyway.

I'd of done that one myself TBH, but then, I have all the tools needed for the job.

45mins labour, pretty steep at £80ph that. Drain oil, take oil filter off, let it drip whilst changing the plugs, check air filter whilst you're there, new oil filter on, top up with oil, hook up vacuum balancer, fire up, sync throttle bodies (in my case - which is pish as tank is up already to check air filter). Put caps on vacuum nipples & put tank down. Done.

Add maybe 15mins to balance carbs as I've never done it.

Sorry Hovis, not helping am I?

Glad you feel it's better though :)

I agree for someone who has not done the carbs before it would take an hour or so. It also takes me about an hour to do plugs/oil/filer and I've done it lots of times. 45 mins for the lot is very quick, you must have a trained team of mechanics! :D

2hours is taking the mickey. I could do that service (from what you've described it as) in 45mins taking my time. In fact, weekend after next I WILL be doing it.

And the weekend after that we'll all be round Baph's house to get a service done :D Hey, you reckon you could get some of those stamps made up to stick in the book? :D

The weekend after I service my bike (I've just hit the 21k mark) will be the AR, and I'm sure tools will be available at the campsite :p

I aint bringing all the oil, but I'll bring my filter wrench along ;)

Mental Note: That's now filter wrench, carbtune, basic tools (eg, screwdriver & plyers). Can get by with tool kit fitted in my SV for the most part. Remember circlip plyers.
