Why wont my bike rev?
 

Got on the bike this morning, started fine, went to pull away and she died on me. Now i can't get her to rev above 2000 and when she does she just dies. If I put on even a little bit of choke, same thing happens. Any ideas anyone?

Has it been running rough previously?
Could be a sticking choke causing the engine to flood

plenty of fuel getting through to both carbs? (check there's still lots of fuel in the tank, then see if you can get to the carb drain screws and see if fuel flows out of both looking like nice clean petrol.

If that's good, check that the connections for the battery and other electrical components are tight.

That said I'd be checking Dizzy's idea about the choke before getting too involved in anything else as the SV's got a bit of a history with sticky choke cables and choke plungers.....

Thanks people, sorted now. Took the air filter out and had a peer inside, the butterflys were covered in water. Not a clue how it got in there!
