Fork change (not the same as other threads)

Ive been thinking about going for a bigger bike (TL1000S) a lot recently, but after seeing about insurance i have decided not to .

So now im thinking i want to get the SV to stop and turn better and also look nicer, so im going to try and get a GSXR 600/750 K4-5 front end on! Im not 100% on some items but i think ill be able to make a good job of the change.

The main problems im having are finding a decent place to get the items from, for a resonable price, i think i can do it all for about £600 if i get a little luck and find the right place. Ive been chacking EBay but id always want to pick them up (to inspect them) and most items havnt been close enough to me to really make it worth while.

So i am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for a breakers that is in the Yorkshire/ North east area?

And also if anyone has any contacts for the item(s) to convert the speedo drive?

All help would be appreciated! (if this thread does already exist then im sorry but i couldnt find it).

Cheers,

Nick

p.s. anyones picture of this done on a pointy would also help! taa

my mate just fitted a tl1000 front end to his missus sv650s K5 but the only problem with this is, is that the tl takes its speedo drive off the gearbox and the sv takes it off the front wheel so you will have to work something out for that.

apparently a gixxer 750 front end goes in quite nicely on a sv650. someone has been trying to convince me to do it myself on suzy. I like upside downers. let us know if you do it

oh and for the speedo you can get a kit from the US for anout £50 so you can run your standard speedo off the front wheel using magnets and a pick up. I'll see if i can find the info again or you could look on svrider.com it'll be there somewhere
another option (not sure if it will work on a pointy) is run it off the rear wheel

or get a veypor unit (not sure of the ins and outs of that thnough)
