difference between sv650 and sv650s?
 
hi all just been out and got myself a sv650s on a V plate i just wanted to know what the differnce is? sv650 & sv605s?

The SV650 has no fairing and tubular 'bars, the SV650S has a half fairing and clip ons, as standard the unfaired model has one more tooth on the rear sprocket, this is often changed though and 'unfaired' gearing is commonly fitted to faired bikes.

does one more tooth make the S faster than the non faired?

s model is faster top end, nekkid model should be quicker off the lights.

You're all forgetting the main difference: the SV650 is FAR sexier than the SV650S...

The riding positions are different. The S is crouchy where the N is upright.

If you're the right side over 50 (i.e. over 50) the S is bl**dy uncomfortable, your wrists ache after 3 miles and you wave your a*se in the air; the N is great in every way.

I look at it this way: with deplenishing oil reserves why waste it on unnecessary plastic?
