groggy startup and lose of power with backfiring

02 sv650 nekid. Not sure what is going on. Groggy startup in the morning along with puttering coming out of the muffler. Sometimes when on the highway or get up the high reves the bike would loose power and the a big pop would come out of the muffler.

So far cleaned the carbs, put carberator cleaner. I know the possible things it could be of changing spark plugs as well as possible replacing the fuel filter. Anything else I should consider doing.
