Good quality, quieter exhaust?

I've had to put my full-size race can back on as my stubby's a bit dinged up, and it made me sure of something i've suspected for a while- it's too loud for my taste. I went back to the race system from my twins as they were much too loud, but even the WRP is a bit loud for me now...

So, I want a Remus Revolution I reckon. They sound fantastic, look good, and they still sound good with the baffle. But are there any other cotenders for quality-sounding, quiet-ish cans that don't basically have a cork up them? I don't like how Scorpions sound, CCC race cans neither, and Quill is out since they still go too loud for my taste at full chat. Anything else I should consider?

Maybe a micron? delta+ is road legal, the beta and zeta are very loud though (my bike came with one, too loud for me too but can't be assed to change it now)

Stock exhaust, or better ear plugs?

I had the scorpion on my SV and really liked it. With the baffle in it was a bit louder than stock but not much.

Seconded.

Not noisy either, but just a nice noise.

Stu's judgement has been proved... skewed, on this matter...

Me: "So I fitted this Akrapovic can, but it almost killed me when I ran it at idle, and it was louder at 3000rpm than my race can, so I took it off"
Stu: "Cool. Can I have it?"

:salut:

Viney, I'd actually be happy with the noise level of a stock can, if it weren't for it being like a cork up the exhaust, incredibly heavy, and sounding horrible ;) But something just as quiet, only nice sounding, like my old CCC chambered road legal was, would do me fine. It was quite restrictive though.

Micron have always seemed chavvy to me, don't know why, I'll always identify them with GSXR SRADS with lots of anodised bolts. And Scorpion, like I say, just don't like the sound much.

Thanks for the recommendations folks- more are most welcome

My CCC road legal can sounds very good and the price to boot.

I really liked my old CCC... It was too shiny, that was the only reason I sold it :) Hmm... I like the newer CCC dualports too, in titanium. I'll give that a good long look I think, cheers
