Stolen SV 23-06-2007
 

Hi all,

I'm an occasional reader, never posted. Shame this should be my first post :(
I'm not sure what the forum rules are on this sort of thing, so apologies if i break any.

My SV650s K6 was taken from outside of my house in the Penylan area of Cardiff this morning. Stupidly, it was not chained, no disklock, and not covered. just the steering lock.

It was stolen between 3am and 6am on the 23rd June 2007. Napolean candy blue, full fairing, R&G crash bungs, Remus carbon exhaust with baffle removed. reg no. CN06 KRD.

I appreciate its a long shot, but if anyone has any info, or spots it around, it would be much appreciated if you let either myself, or Cardiff Central Police station know.
Irritatingly, I've been able to post this and I'm *still* on hold with the station after 40 mins, in a queue. Must have been a lot of crime last night!

winkers......dont worry hav'nt broken any rules, there is a few members in the cardiff area, & i think i might have seen you around on it, it seems as if there is a lot of bike theft happening latley.

hi again,

well the police have found it, it was dumped in the river about 2 minutes away from my house. totally full of water, the fairings wrecked, steering lock bust, back seat ripped off, exhaust all bust....it looked a right state. I got a feeling its going to be a write off.

The annoying thing is, if I had have put the disklock on, it probably wouldnt have been taken. I didnt though, I left it under the seat :smt013 :smt013 :smt013

why do fsckers to this sort of thing? at least dump it on the grass, whats the point in sticking it in a river???

Hello Hywel. It's hard to see a bright side to this, at least it's been found so the insurance company can get on and sort your claim. When you get your replacement, be aware the scum know you where you keep it and may try for a second bite.
