Battery move.

Hello,
I've upgraded my rear shock to a zx6 BH1 and I read somewhere in the forum that it was possible to fit your battery above the fuses which would now be housed in the battery tray. I have tried this and am having no joy, for the time being my battery is in the pillion seat cavity. Unfortunatley, I occassionaly use this space and would like to again. Does anyone know of any alternatives?
Is it possible to get a 6.5cm wide battery?
Sean

R6 battery is smaller I think? But you'd want to be careful not to lose too much CCA (cold cranking amps), don't fixate on capacity as the CCA is the maximum total output, ie, how hard it cranks the engine. One too low will just turn the engine over too slow, until it runs out, and in the cold will be a disaster.

I looked this up and the R6 bat is bigger... I've moved my battery up a tad, and extend the fuse loom to under the rear seat.

Thanks for the advice.
I think I will explore other batteries for a while and then give the loom extention a go if I need to.
Cheers.

I have done the 636 conversion. All you need to do is put a bit of foam over the reservoir and rest the battery on that. You then just take the battery relay/fuse tray off and just lay the fuses etc on top of he battery, put a bit of thin foam down too if you want :)
