Bridgestone tyres
 

My SV (curvy) is currently fitted with BT010s front and rear, the rear is getting a little low.
I don't want to put a pair on as the front has loads left, so do I go for the BT020 sports tourer or the BT014 sport? bearing in mind I commute on my bike but would also like a tyre grippy enough for knee down and other such silliness.
Any tips from someone with experience of these tyres would be greatly appreciated.

The 014 is the replacement for the 010.

I ran for a while an 010 front with an 020 rear I suspect you'll be OK if you want to go down that route though.

The 014 is really soft, softer than the 010 was. My GSXR ate its rear tyre after 1800 miles, they really dont last long at all and square off really quickly.

Yeah will probably go for the 020, 1800 miles per tyre is madness, would cost me a fortune!
How was the grip with the 020?

suzy has avon azaro's and h.m.s stock em. you know i ride to work in winter and they are super. black one has metzler m1 something or another and they are good for commuting. they were brand new with bike and they are pretty good. I find both these a good alternative to bt's and the azaro's are cheaper

The SV is probably a little easier on tyres than my GSXR is though.

I thought the 020 was OK, but then I tried a set of Metzler Z6's and now I wouldnt go back to 020's again, as I find the Metzlers better.

If I were you I'd stick an 020 on the back and then when you need a pair of tyres look to change to something else. 020's are an old design now and you'll find that the latest generation of tyres offer more grip and better life.

Aye sounds like a plan, don't want to change to a different type altogether until the front is worn out.

Will consider the azaros in another few '000 miles.

Woosters in Leeds quote £85 or so for the 020 fitted to loose wheel, how does this sound?
