Armstrong GG pads
Anyone tried any of these? They are a good price :smt045 eBay Pads

Re: Armstrong GG pads
I used their HH, which were cheap and effective but lasted about 1/4 as long as everyone else's...

Re: Armstrong GG pads
Armstrong Pads are ****e.
Tried a set and changed them the first day itr rained, it was like having sponges in the calliper rather than brake pads, bleeding dangerous. |
Re: Armstrong GG pads
I got EBC green (non HH) pads on there at the mo and they work fine ... I like them soft ... pads are cheaper than discs ;) ... hence thinking armstrong green (cheaper form of EBC??) would be the way to go not their sinterd vareity ...
Was it the GGs or the HHs that you didn't like Patch? |
Re: Armstrong GG pads
Used them quite a bit - they're fine.
Agree with the comments about life though, but as I pay very little for them it's OK. |
Re: Armstrong GG pads
Armstrong HH pads are good, had two sets on my SV, dont last very long though. I also had GG pads on my TT rear brake, they worked about the same as the OEM ones, cant comment on life though.

Re: Armstrong GG pads
I'm using a set on my rear brake, seem to work well and plenty of life in them. But then I don't tend to use the back brake that much...

Re: Armstrong GG pads
Thanks for responses, at the given price and apart from questioning wear rates they seem ok, I am certainly willing to give them a crack. I'll report on my findings if/when I finally fit them!! :) (got a bit of life in my EBCs yet 8)).
