£400 jacket gone walkies from work

And yes its deffo gone, was 3 on display in the morning, only 2 at 4pm , i hadnt sold it and neither has the lad i work with,turned shop upside down looking for it.
Police are coming in tomorrow to do statements etc.
Was really busy all day and there was only 2 of us in, boss is away today so i have the joyful task of calling him tomorrow morning and telling him.

Surely just an insurance claim? (Do those alarms have a log of going off?)
Will just mean you get to claim full value rather than it ending up in a half price sale after 12 months.
You're a saleswoman not a security guard! did you have a good day's takings? that's what you should be judged on.

Alarm didnt go off though :( , dont have a clue who took it/when it went, have a rough idea of time.

Can't see how thats your fault, with only two of you in and it as busy, if the alarm didnt go off what are you supposed to do ?

It wasn't me as I was at home working all day - I have a witness.;)

That sucks though as it's always the staff like yourself that cop the flak. And even if you have an understanding boss you still end up feeling like there should have been something you should have done - even though there wasn't. :roll:

I hope he doesn't give you both too much grief.
