Yuk,

So it was a tad moist on the AR this year.

I got home dumped bike and clothing etc. in the garage and convieniently forgot about it. Well this morning as it was the first time that it has not been raining since I got the tent out and hung it out to dry. Then I washed the bike.

So now the sun is a bit brighter I thought about having a jolly. Got my lid out and like many I dumped my gloves in it last time I had finished.

Well my gloves are covered in this making green cobweb like mould and the lid stinks. I have wiped the off with a couple of baby wipes and sprayed fabreeze in the lid.

What else do I need to do as well as properly drying them to ensure they remain free of the mould

My leather gloves stunk of sweat after drying from the rain that weekend Tim. I tried everything the other day to get rid of the stink. Then Paws and her mate at HG sold me helmet spray, sprayed that all over the gloves a coupla times and they aren't too bad.

EDIT: Moist LOL  that has just reminded me of what you said under the Gazebo on the Saturday night while we were laying into Stretchie lol

Oooooh you naughty boy, treating your faithful kit like that - slap your wrist young man! ;)

As for your gloves, don't be tempted to dry them too quickly on a radiator or something. Warm air, but most importantly, good air circulation.
Then treat them with a leather feed/waterproofer, something like Nikwax.
Mould can't breed on an oily environment, and though it's almost impossible to have removed or killed all the spores (without damaging your gloves that is) by keeping the leather well fed you should stop a returning growth...

... as long as you don't do it again. :p
