clutch adjustment

Hi. My name is matt and I live in the United States. I have a 2001 svs 650. I have 9000 miles on it and run motorcyle oil in it. I was just wondering if it is normal for our bikes not to move in gear when they are cold. I can get it to move but you really have to push. I tried adjusting clutch but got nothing. I never had this problem on my ninja or gixxer. The clutch works great when warm. Also I rode about 30 min in rain and my bike started missing. Next day I pulled the plugs back one was fouled front one was fine. But the cylinder reset for the plug was filled with water is this also normal. Just wondering if that cause the missing. Any help would be great. Thanks
