Just what i needed after a 13hr night shift, luckly a friend came save the day with some jump leads and a very hansom VXR Monaro.

Anyone else in the 'stupid club'?

Feeling soo tired, but too pee'd off to sleep :shaking:

Once ran a VW Beetle with a flat battery out of petrol (bit of a dodgy gage yeronnoa) while giving flatmates a lift to the supermarket. Does that count?

those monaros are gorgeous! I'm pretty sure my parking lights can stay on that long. Is it an old SV?

Yes a VW Beetle might fall into that category :)

Locked the keys of my VW Passatt in the boot - that's the trouble with central locking! Happened at 9.30am - I was chairing a convention at the time and apparently kept missing their phone calls to me (not so cos someone was looking after my mobile - another story) RAC turned up at 5.00pm.

They had to jack up the front and remove the undertray to the engine to put a power bypass so when they bent open the door they could operate the electric windows (bypassing the immobiliser etc) with a metal rod, so I could climb through the window with the alarm blaring, drop the rear seat to get keys out of the boot to switch on the ignition to stop the alarm then wait for Mr RAC to put the car back together. All finished by 7.30pm!!

Surely a tennis ball with a hole in to the lock would have been easier....probably cheaper as well
