Avalon - Whitley Bay
More of a cruiser scene but a biker pub is still a biker pub! Rideouts on Thursdays from 6.30 and excellent free live bands on a Friday night. Go sit outside during the day and there will be all kinds of customs and foreign tourists on bikes coming and going. :p

Re: Avalon - Whitley Bay
I don't normally get to Whitley Bay as I end up to the western side of Newcastle on the A68 etc, but will bera it in mind if I'm on the coast roads.

Never been before where is it? I live about 5 minutes away and could do with a good biker pub to visit.

Re: Avalon - Whitley Bay
I've lived within 5 minutes of that place and quite often ride my bike along that way on a Friday night heading for Tynemouth. Can say i've never noticed any bar on South Parade being remotely biker orientated.Must be all the shorts skirts and boob tubes distracting me.
Cheers for the heads up I'll try focus my attention next time I'm passing that way |

Re: Avalon - Whitley Bay
This place was featured on that 'Hairy Bikers Come Home' programme, looks a cracking place, the pie and peas they made seemed to go down well anyway :) Bet that got it a fair bit of publicity!

Re: Avalon - Whitley Bay
