Project TLS
Took my bike off the road an age ago and have been colelcting bits or months. As some of you know (soho massive) my bike was a complete state before I took it off the road!! TSM and a few others hae been doing the re-build meaning I would not be at the stage I am at witouht them.
Just before I put it away - looking unloved and thrashed to ****!! http://www.postwhore.biz/albums/user...6/DSCN0012.JPG All of the bling laid out http://www.postwhore.biz/albums/user...0016/blg1.jpeg http://www.postwhore.biz/albums/userpics/10016/blg6.JPG Work underway, with TSM Pete and Stu taking her apart. Old frame had a large crack so replaced with another one:) http://www.postwhore.biz/albums/user...0016/blg4.jpeg TSM working away http://www.postwhore.biz/albums/user...DSCN0011~2.JPG Looking more like a bike http://www.postwhore.biz/albums/user...DSCN0027~1.JPG http://www.postwhore.biz/albums/user...DSCN0019~0.JPG With the fairingshttp://www.postwhore.biz/albums/user...pics%20008.jpg http://www.postwhore.biz/albums/user...DSCN0013~2.JPG TSM showing how big his...:laugh http://www.postwhore.biz/albums/user...DSCN0009~2.JPG http://www.postwhore.biz/albums/user...DSCN0001~1.JPG http://www.postwhore.biz/albums/user...DSCN0015~4.JPG http://www.postwhore.biz/albums/user...DSCN0004~2.JPG Nearly all one. Re: Project TLS
Was that all new parts you used? Looks shiney! Just thought most rebuilds would be ebay jobs.
|
Re: Project TLS
Thats a nice bike  I think once i get experienced enough and insurance drops i may have to get a TLS or R
|
Re: Project TLS
Now that looks very nice!
How much of the original bike has been moved across though? |
Re: Project TLS
New forks, wheel bearings, disks, calipers, MC, SOAS, frame, top yoke, clipons, levers, full yosh exhaust system.
Old frame suffered the old TL headstock crack, PAPS got a replacement frame from a ebay seller under the asumption that it was not cracked which it was, so got a part refund then got it properly wealded up. Apart from the above, its fairly much the same as it was before apart from repainted. Now just wiring loom, TB's, exhaust, plastics etc to go on then all ready to fire up. |
Re: Project TLS
That is looking brilliant - worthy of appearing in a bike mag once fully complete?
More pics! Matt |
