Baffles & MOT

Hi Guys,

Quick question. I need to get my MOT done for my 99 SV Curvy. I have fitted a Carbon Can Co exhaust but have removed the baffle. Can anyone advise as to whether I need to put it back in for the MOT or whether most places will just sign off on it. If it needs to go back in, does it need to be rivetted again or just nut and bolt job?

Cheers for your help.

There is a recent thread on this in the Exhaust section you might want to check out but, in short, depends on the place I suppose.

Some will be tight, others will know you're gonna pop it back out and will whack it in, test it, remove it again. Don't think you'd need to permanently rivet it again, but can't be sure as mine is a circlip jobbie. For safety's sake I'd put it back in, might as well for the minimal effort it takes.
