Re: Bike Wise Durham, 29th Juy:
Would be there but as I've had to move out of Durham and back to Devon I'm no longer a member of the Pennine Massive :(. And I only had the chance to meet a couple of you before I left as well.
Roads down here are crap in comparison, will have to make a nostalgia trip back to Hartside before too long. |

Might see ya down at Vipers Do then next year??? if it happens then? |
Re: Bike Wise Durham, 29th Juy:
I shall have to meet Viper before I turn up at his do methinks! Better get ingratiating myself. Might not be around next year anyway, just graduated and still planning my own Long Way Down before the poncey rich acting types nicked my idea.
Though I can't deny I owe a lot of the planning to Ted Simon even if it was 30 odd years ago now! |
Re: Bike Wise Durham, 29th Juy:
I should be there early on around 11ish - might go up to Sunderland for the Air Show after that.
|
Re: Bike Wise Durham, 29th Juy:
I'll be leaving to go over at about 10ish... I'll probably be hanging around the Kawasaki Newcastle stand half the time trying to blag free stuff.
And Sunderland Airshow is really good this year - went yesterday and it's well worth it for the EuroFighter display... that's a manoeuverable little bugger. |
Re: Bike Wise Durham, 29th Juy:
Well, What a great day out that was, for all the family.
Kids enjoyed the 4x4 and the Police Cars on the Skid pan... (made me feel sick, spining around like that but managed to burn out a clutch on it), the Stunt display was great (if only he had a little more room) and the Trial bikes riders were awsome. And I got my Helmet signed by Steve Brogan.... |

Re: Bike Wise Durham, 29th Juy:
Did anybody see me ????
I was wearing a rather fetching hi-viz dayglo vest:plod: , with reflective stripes on it, directing bikes off the main road, turning them right down a footpath so they could park up on the all weather pitch. (I was the good looking one, who did the job better than any one else!!!!!!!!):cyclopsani: :cyclopsani: :cyclopsani: The force even arranged for me to get a free cheese burglar and chips off one of the greasy spoon vans:chef: :chef: Saw ROBCHESTER. Also saw lots of SV's going to the event, anyone on here??? - I saw at least 15-20 650's, and a couple of 1000's |
