1,000 extra on price of sv650
 

i went to the dealership and they quoted me @ 6,000 for a new 07 sv650..then they told me about freight cost / assembly labor/ and tax which comes to an extra 1,000 dollars is that right?

**** i wanted the bike at 6 but not 7,000

Not really sure about that as most if not all the pricing over here is "on the road" or OTR, on some of the smaller web based sites and importer they quote basic price and have add ons such as you mention, but then they are alot cheaper.

I'd be tempted to shop around and see what other dealers are doing it for and compare prices, then if the OTR is nearer 6k than 7k, perhaps go back and show them what you've found, never know they might be more flexable than you think ?

Stop complaining dude.....bikes in the US are so ******* cheap man!
I just paid over $9200 for a K6 pointy and that was a reasonable deal cos it came with full fairing and seat cowl!
We are also paying around $8.60 for one gallon of "gas"!
Its our royal family that are rich dude not us lot!! ;) :)

Then you wonder why we never stop whining hehehehe! ;)

US Version, to try and stop the front tucking with all that weight thrown forward during panic breaking when they see a corner coming up three miles down the road;)
