Going straight(brake disc straighting)

Due to lots of dodgey eBay sellers (and my buys :smt021 !!), I have about 4-5 warped/bent/dished front brake discs. The warpage ranges between about 4mm on the best disc and 20mm runout on the worst!!

Is it possible to get them straightened??? If so how much is it? Is it cost effective?

Ta :)

20mm? Good lord. Use it as a boomerang?

I think some people are about to recommend Motoliners, so I shall get in first.

20mm!

You did say, twenty mm, didn't you ???!!!!!!! :smt103 :smt103 :smt103

No wonder they took em off, that's downright dangerous. But how anyone could be so blatantly dishonest amazes me.

I'm not sure about straightening them, not heard of it myself.

To be fair that is the one I got off ASM-Forever's crashed bike!! :D not eBay, so can't blame that one on dodgy eBay sellers! ... the 'straight' eBay ones are still blatantly bent mind :(

Cheers, but I am not after any more (unless really cheap – a man can never have enough SV discs!! :D) just I have these lying about and I either need to bring myself to chuck them or get them straightened (if that is possible/viable).

Aaaahh that was your first mistake....underestimating the potential dodgyness of an intra-forum transaction :p

By the time you have spent say £15 postage one way then £10 to get it back to them (with no guarantee of a refund) its just throwing good money after bad!! One bloke was being a total {bleeep} so I left him bad feedback!! :D (but didn't get any money back )Another bloke admitted a bit of liability and gave a partial refund, I still lost out though as I had a set of discs that were unusable and paid postage for two popadoms!!! :smt021

Hammer them flat. If you hammer them enough, you'll get extra braking force from your new 320mm discs.
