Service Interval

Hi - Not exactly a tuning question but does anyone know what the service interval is for a '55 reg sv650?

Mine's done 3700 miles and I seem to be getting conflicting information about whether I should have had it done at 3500 or can wait until 4000miles.

the service needs doing approx 4000 miles

my manual says the intervals are 500 miles / 4000 miles / 7500 miles / 11000 miles and so on.

Yup, it gets confusing if you forget about the first (500 mile) service. The intervals are 3,500, which, as mentioned above means 500, 4000, 7500, 11000 etc.

Daft question,but doesn't anybody bother reading their handbook? All this information plus a lot of the inane questions are answered in the owners manual,I appreciate that people who have bought older bikes might not have a manual but they are not that difficult to get. Just seems a waste of time coming on here asking if you already have the information at your fingertips
