Friday Night PC Crash - Writen Off, Now gone over to the Darkside Cr ash
 

Got home Friday night to find my main Windows PC with a Blue Screen of Death, with a re-boot not working

None of the ususal tricks could get it up and running, so invested in a new 500Gb (old drive was a twin-400Gb setup) as I think that the lower running temperature may help with reliability.

Got an external SATA USB cradle so I can attemt to salvage what I can of the old drives.

Decided to install Vista as it seems the issues that upset me most with it have been resolved - mainly SLI graphics support.

Has 29 days left before I have to register it, so will see how long it survives this time.

Right - so not a bike crash and getting an IL4 then. Computers - pah - hit it with a hammer! :twisted:

If I just wanted something that looks pretty, then a Mac would work.

but as most of the stuff I do doesn't run on Mac........

Most of my network is Linux anyways - this is just my gaming box really :)
