Re: Exploded exhaust diagram

Try this site, I use it all the time when I'm stripping stuff down. This should be the direct link http://alpha-sports.com/spst/2004%20SV650,S/40.htm
If this doesnt work try http://www.alpha-sports.com/Parts/SM04.htm which will be the link to the ain page. Hope this helps.

There won't be one, according to regs factory exhausts are welded shut so you can't knock the rivets out to de-baffle it.
Hence suzuki wouldn't print a diagram of something you cant take apart.

Why do you need a diagram of the can if you're fitting a slipon?

Edit: sorry didn't read that properly.
The fuel is just a sleeve, with packing inside that and a mesh holding the packing to the outside, no parts in it really, let me know how you go on as I'm going to stubb mine to get rid of the dent in it lol.
Know where I could get a new front plate/flange thing for it?

Tried that, the woman on the phone said they wouldnt supply one, but I could send them the can back to be repaired.

Don't think you can go wrong making a stubby, just drill the rivets out first and have a look whats inside, entirely reversible that way.

Aye, the only thing to be careful of is that sometimes the inner tube won't be a simple tube- WRP always use tapering pipes, frinstance, haven't a clue why but it makes them a sod to shorten. Also, handle the packing with gloves, don't breathe the dust.

Re: Exploded exhaust diagram

Yeh should all go ok im hoping, not to much of a problem if it all goes pair shaped only paid £29 for the can in the first place, its being cut down so the actual body of the can is 29 - 30cm.

Stange ive spoken to them b4 and they were really helpful, y do u need a new 1 is it broken?

Ta, will do when I decide what to do with this endcap, may just beat it back into shape and find a new wrapping strap for it. Looking down the can it appears to be a parralel tube.

To revisit an old topic, my plugs looked on the lean side of OK, which sortof explains the flatspot, have raised carb needles very slightly (thin washer) so will see what effect this has when its back on the road.

Re: Exploded exhaust diagram

It does look like a parralel tube down the center.

U ay be able to beat it back into shape, wiv a big hammer. If not maybe send it to fuel for repairs if there prices are reasonable.

Did they say how much?
