Should tell you in the manual somewhere. BUT, I think it probably starts to flash when it has about 5 litres in, then goes to fully on when it gets to about 3 litres.
I'm sure someone on here will get the proper figures for you though.

The fuel indicator light will flicker when you drop below 4 litres, the light will remain lit when you have less than 1.5 litres in the tank. Most people from what i can gather on here set there trip to zero, fill up and then do 100 miles and then fill up again, that way you should never run out of fuel...... hopefully :cool:

Yep,. jusrt checked in the manual and for a curvy model which I have it is,
3.5L it will flash, and below 1.5L it stay on. Which is about a third of a gallon.
Working on about 40MPG, you should have about 13 miles or so. SO at 3.5 Litres (.99of a gallon)when it starts flashing you should have about 39 miles.
Hope that helps!

I've had 35 miles of motorway riding, and when I stopped I still had 0.9 litres in there according to the fuel pump. I've done this twice.

Anything over 25 miles is taking a risk IMO though and I avoid it if at all possible.

Not overly SV relevant, but im gonna share anyway.....

I discovered on monday that my bike starts a new 'trip' when the fuel lights comes on solidly, which is cool. When it gets really low(less 1 litre by my calculations) it switched to a 5 mile countdown.

When i had an SV i did as a previous poster indicated and filled up every 100 :)

I have that too :D a reserve mileage counter, from when the light first starts flashing. Don't have any 5 mile countdown, not that I've run it that close though lol!

When people refer to the light as 'flashing' do you actually mean it's on for about a minute and then off for a minute? That's what mine does, K3. It certainly doesn't 'flash'.
