Email setup help (Virgin media/NTL)
Rhighto.
I got my new broadband service installed into our new pad yesterday, and as i have been with Virgin.net for a few years and thought the service is pretty good, i have decided to go with Virgin Media for our phone and BB service. Fine not a problem. However, im trying to get my outlook to talk to the service so that i can recieve emails. Now, i can still get my ADSL (Virgin.net) mails but when i try to set up MSOutlook (other products are available) to retrieve emails from my new account (NTLWorld) it keeps coming up with the log in screen although all the details are correct and set up in the settings. What am i doing wrong? NB: I didnt get an ADSL line as BT wanted £120 to install a new line, plus Virgin are cheaper...alot cheaper. I also use Outlook as i like outlook. |

Re: Email setup help (Virgin media/NTL)
Hmm
Are all the server details correct? Address Format user.name@ntlworld.com Outgoing Mail Server Type: SMTP Address: smtp.ntlworld.com Incoming Mail Server Type: POP3 Address: pop.ntlworld.com After that it must be some kind of password/account issue, just doublecheck the above and update this thread. The username Im guessing is similiar format to the e-mail address so user.name@ntlworld.com and password. |
