Sacrilege!
Suicides thread got us looking at pictures of my dream bikes...
My wife just described the 749 and 999 as "Fuglets"! This stands for F'ing Ugly Little Thing, an expression we developed to describe the neighbors ugly smelly little dog! The 1098 has a better front end but still doesn't float her boat. She prefers the japanese race rep IL4's !!!! Some consolation Tony, it looks "slighty better" in black. I think I'm getting a divorce! ;) What do non biking women know about bikes eh? Tough ****, one of these days there will be one in my garage. |

Re: Sacrilege!
I'm liking the Benelli Tornado Tre 900 these days.
Very nice in the flesh, was druling over one in Largs a week or two back. I make no apologies if anyone thinks it's a "fuglet" i think it's stunning. http://www.benelli.com/eng/motoTornadoTre900gallery.asp |

Re: Sacrilege!
Sorry Folks but the Bennelli does nothing for me!!!
Ducati 916/748, i wouldn't say no to riding one thats for sure!!! |
Re: Sacrilege!
There's a Tornado at my work, usually... Nice bike. Not amazing, but nice. The guy commutes on it all winter, which is good going. On the other hand, he can't actually ride at all.
I wouldn't say no to a 749 or 999- especially the facelift model- but they don't really do much for me cosmetically, they look like they were designed by a computer. Tony's one looks a lot nicer than most with the white splash on the front though, really improves the front view I think. I always get slated for this, but here is- IMO- the best looking production bike in the world. http://www.kenrockwell.com/bmw/images/r1200s.jpg I love these... They're not pretty, but then I don't want to **** it. They look like a 916 built in a shipyard, out of boiler plate and scaff pipes. If it wasn't for the fact that it's too wide to fit in my garage, I'd consider one... Everything else is just getting a bit too dull, everything looks like everything else. They've just got such huge presence, like a massive cruiser or a Kat would, especially when parked up in a bike bay full of plastic toys. |

Re: Sacrilege!
I tried the old version of that (R1100S) they're like an SV just bigger... Too heavy and slow steering... I've still to try the new one... Hmm thinks to himself must phone BMW bishopbrigs for a try!!!
