front end change -same old questions
I have got K1 gsxr 750 forks, srad yokes,gsxr600srad front wheel & calipers to fit to my curvy sv,the problem is the 4pot srad 600 front calipers have a mounting lug distance centre to centre of approximately 90mm,but the k1 750 forks have a mounting hole distance of approx 62mm.can anybody tell me which 4 pot calipers will fit the k1 forks.cheers!
next question,is the 600srad front wheel the same as the srad 750 front wheel, thansks in advance gruff:) |
Re: front end change -same old questions
For the calipers, you need basically any GSXR caliper from after the SRADs, but before the radial calipers came along- that includes the K1 and K2 GSXR thous with their 6 pots, but IMO they're a worse option, heavier and less effective, they have more power but then, you don't need it ;) So I think that's Y-K3 750, and K1-K3 600. Also any SV thou. Probably some others but these are the usual suspects.
As for wheels- yep, all SRADs were the same, as were all the TL1000S and all Busas until at least 2005, and probably after. Same goes for discs if you still need 'em- you can also use later GSXR discs but it gets complicated. Sounds like you're going to end up with the same mix of parts I had... Works well, I found. |
